Waiter, there's something in my ... Easter basket!

Aahhh... can you smell it? Spring's just round the corner up on our northern half of the globe, the birds are singing, the flowers are shooting out, the trees are blossoming... time for our favourite festivity of the year: Easter!
So for this 3rd instalment of "Waiter, there's something in my...", the chosen theme is just that.
We want you to share with us and the wider food blogging community anything that yells "Easter!" at you, be it that honey-glazed ham or herb-crusted spring lamb that is traditionally made in your neck of the woods, a gorgeous chocolate torte that you've tucked into every year since you can remember, your granny's famous hot cross buns or a brioche loaf sprinkled with rock sugar... And the beauty is that it doesn't even have to be traditional, either, so this is a great opportunity to try out what you're planning to spoil the family with over the first weekend in April!
Make whatever takes your fancy: something savoury or sweet, baked or cooked, traditional or brand-spanking new... it's got a place on our great WTSIM smörgåsbord! Plus, you get to share with us anything that is traditional where you are 'round this time of year... bunnies, egg painting, murder mysteries (apparently big in Norway), Easter fires, or spanking and waterfights (no kidding, this is custom in parts of Central Europe), whatever it is, we'd like to hear it!

Don't take the title too seriously, though, as this event is all-encompassing: you don't need a basket to take part, you don't need to (but can) belong to any church, so whether you call it Easter, Passover, Lihavõtted or Fukkatsu-sai, or think this is all too pagan and just rejoice at the thought of having a few well-deserved days off, you're definitely in. After all, as a food blogger, I bet you're just as religious about food as we are and enjoy every supper as if it was the last! Whatever your background, wherever you are, I am sure you'll find some reason to celebrate, if you think hard enough!

And if that's all a bit too laissez-faire for you, here are the rules for participating:

Write a post following your inspiration before the 28th of March
Link to this announcement (and the round-up, once it's up)
Email with the following info:
- your name
- your blog's name
- permalink to your post
Don't send any eggs, though! (unless they're chocolate, of course!)

I will attempt to have the round-up ready on the following weekend, which should give you plenty of time to be inspired for your Easter feasting!
